Apple is said to be considering a new flagship iPhone dubbed the "iPhone Ultra" alongside its upcoming Pro and Pro Max models. .
German industrial designer Jonas Dannert created this amazing concept (pictured) combining design cues from the Apple Watch Ultra with a virtual and smaller iPhone Pro model, which he describes as "over 12mm thick - the Ultra concept".
Like the rugged Apple Watch, Dehnert's titanium iPhone case has rounded edges with a flat top edge flush with the screen. Elsewhere, there are side buttons and a volume up/down button reminiscent of a watch factory. The extra thickness of the chassis means a bigger internal battery.
Other aspects of the Ultra's design language that carry over to Daehnert's concept are a fixed ring/mute button, a programmable function key on the bottom left, and a USB-C port on the bottom in the same "universal orange." accent , between the extended speaker grills.
"I didn't know about all these leaks," Danret shared his thoughts on Twitter. "It was just an exercise to see if it was possible to adapt the design language of the Watch Ultra."
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman , Apple won't sell the new iPhone, along with the Pro and Pro Max models, until 2024. According to this timeline, the devices will become part of the iPhone. 16 series or later.
Gurman previously said there was a "potential" for this year's iPhone 15 Pro Max to be replaced by the iPhone 15 Ultra, but has since revised his estimate to suggest that Apple could release a more advanced "Ultra" model, both with better performance. The Pro variant. Early next year.
Gurman speculates that the device could offer other camera upgrades, a faster chip, a larger screen, and perhaps a portless design without Lightning or USB-C. He also said the device will be more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which starts at $1,099.
Separately, rumors suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro model may have thinner, curved edges compared to the iPhone 14 Pro model, creating an Apple Watch-like appearance. The iPhone 15 Pro models are said to use a titanium frame instead of stainless steel like the Apple Watch Ultra. Titanium is lighter and more durable than stainless steel. However, it is very expensive.
