Former Tottenham Hotspur psychologist Hilary Cotten has settled her case against the team and goalkeeper Joshua Prime after accusing Prime of repeatedly exposing himself.
Cotten's lawyer, Tony Busby, confirmed on Thursday that his client, the NBA, and the 19-year-old Prima Atlético have "agreed" to work on the matter. Details of the settlement were not disclosed.
Spears CEO RC Buford said in a statement Thursday that the company "decided to work with Dr. Cotten and other experts to review and improve our work processes and procedures."
In a lawsuit filed two weeks ago in Bexar County, Texas, Cotten accused Primo of exposing himself during numerous therapy sessions. Cotten sued for unspecified damages.
Busby also claimed his client reported the incident to Tottenham chief executive Brian Wright in January 2022, but Spurs still invited him to meet Prime.
Primorsky's attorney, William J. Briggs II, said in a statement released Nov. 3 that the NBA player "did not knowingly expose himself to [Cotten] or anyone else." A complete fantasy." .
Prim, a sophomore guard and 2021 lottery pick, was waived by the Spurs on Oct. 28. Later that day, he told ESPN in a statement that he was taking time off to fully focus on mental health treatment.
Briggs added in a statement that Prima is "seeking treatment to deal with the trauma he has experienced as a result of Dr. Cotten's false statements, as well as previous trauma he suffered as a child."
Primo has not yet signed a contract with any other team.
Primo was selected by the Spurs with the 12th pick in the 2021 NBA draft. In four games this season, the guard is averaging 23 minutes and seven points per game
