OPPO Find N2 Leaks Suggest It Could Give The Galaxy Z Fold 4 A Run For The Money

When you think of foldable devices, probably the only thing that comes to mind is the name of the latest currently available Samsung Galaxy Z Fold (in this case it would be the Galaxy Z Fold 4). Although there are many players in the market, such as HONOR with Magic V and OPPO with Find N, Samsung has been dominating the market for several years now.

The only reason you're (probably) thinking about the Galaxy Z Fold is because it's currently the only foldable device you can buy right now. HONOR Magic Vs, OPPO Find N and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 are only available in China for now. While there is currently no evidence that OPPO will release its next OPPO Find N2 foldable device in global markets, if it does, it looks like the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be up for the money. That's because:

POCKET VIDEO OF THE DAY

In recent weeks, a lot of information has been leaked about the next-generation OPPO foldable tablet. Here's everything we know about the OPPO Find N2 ( GizmoChina via Weibo Tipster Digital Chat Station ):

representation and design

The OPPO Find N2 is rumored to have screens similar to last year's Find N. This means we'll see a foldable 7.1-inch AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate inside and a 5.54-inch screen. The AMOLED (Coverage Display) display supports refresh rates up to 120Hz. The aspect ratio and resolution will likely be the same as last year's foldable display. As with last year's Find N, there will be no gap between the folding screens. However, it should be noted that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a noticeable gap.

According to some rumors, the OPPO Find N2 will be lighter than the Find N and significantly lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 at just 237 grams. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 weighs 263 grams due to the use of glass and leather materials for the back of the Find N2, which not only results in lighter weight but also a taller feel. The brochure is available in black, white and green.

cameras

Well, this is where it gets interesting. The OPPO Find N2 is rumored to have a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 telephoto lens. While the Galaxy Z Fold 4 also has a 50MP main sensor, it only has a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens.

Paired with OPPO's MariSilicon X Image Signal Processor (ISP) and Hasselblad mods, the OPPO Find N2 could also give the Galaxy Z Fold 4 a tough competition in the camera realm. We are impressed with the performance of MariSilicon X ISP in OPPO Find X5 Pro and look forward to the next generation ISP improvements.

And not only the rear camera hardware, OPPO Find N2 will also have better selfie cameras. According to Digital Chat Station , the OPPO Find N2 will have 32MP front cameras on both the inner screen and the lid. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a 10MP sensor on the screen protector and a 4MP sensor below the foldable display, which isn't exactly impressive.

battery, charger and processor

Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the OPPO Find N2 is said to have a slightly larger 4520mAh battery (Fold 4 has a 4400mAh battery). In addition to the larger cell, the Find N2 also offers faster 66W wired charging compared to the Fold 4's 25W. Using the same Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset as the Fold 4, we expect the Find N2 to perform similarly. .

OPPO is expected to unveil the Find N2 at the INNO Day 2022 event in China in mid-December. However, there has been no official announcement from the company about the event yet.
