Faster download times and more apps in 2023

SAN DIEGO , Dec. 7, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Element Biosciences, Inc. announced — developer of an innovative DNA sequencing platform that is disrupting the genomics industry — today announced Avidity Cloudbreak technology, a chemical enhancement to AVITI™ Element systems that reduces mapping time. Allows more time and applications.

Avidity Cloudbreak, which will be available in early 2023, includes the following innovations:

  • Reduce run times to less than 40 hours for 300 cycle groups and less than 24 hours for 150 cycle groups, including on-board amplification and demultiplexing times.
  • Enable linear library loading for Elevate™ libraries with built-in rotation that streamlines workflows and reduces downtime.
  • In addition to standard configurations, the AVITI system can be configured with Cloudbreak to achieve over 1 billion (duplex) reads in just 20 hours for a 2x75 indexed analysis or in just 30 hours for a 2x150 indexed analysis.
  • Avidity Cloudbreak will, of course, retain the core competitive advantages of the AVITI system, including market-leading data quality with multiple read lengths at a fixed detector cost of less than $6 per gigabyte.

Less than a year after launching the AVITI System, Element continues to rapidly develop its technology and expand its product offerings. Avidity Cloudbreak Element will release a set of 2 x 300 sequences expected in 2023. With a throughput of 1.6 billion reads (double-sided) with a read length of 2 x 300 times, Cloudbreak will set a new standard for cost-effectiveness. Long read sequencing is advancing applications such as small genome de novo assembly, immune repertoire sequencing, and isoform discovery.

"Cloudbreak's chemical developments demonstrate Element's continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of our technology. Less than a year after AVITI's launch, these chemicals will reduce wait times by approximately 20% and streamline customer workflows while delivering high data quality and desktop performance. Outer Space. Element continues to set new standards in short read sequences, and Cloudbreak chemistry will pave the way for even smoother 2x300 configurations in 2023.”

"We are excited to see new opportunities for AVITI technology. Our company is currently studying a new liquid biopsy biomarker for critical areas with unmet diagnostic needs, and the faster time and better accuracy will make a big difference in our research," he said. . Dr. Chris Booth , CEO of FYR Diagnostics. "Element redefines what's possible in a desktop sequencer."

"Our team at Element is advancing genomics with a mission to enable laboratories around the world to access high-quality genomics at the lowest cost," said Molly He, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder of Element Biosciences . "We're constantly improving our technology to deliver lightning-fast innovation in healthcare because science can't wait."
