Vivo, known for its mid-range smartphones, has taken the Vivo V25 series to the next level and introduced its new V27 series. We got our hands on the Pro version for review, which is the Vivo V27 Pro.
The new V27 Pro features a curved screen, Dimensional 8200 processor and a back housing that changes color in daylight. However, considering the price of the phone, it will be interesting to see how the V27 Pro will attract customers as there is a choice for buyers in the form of the new OnePlus 11R.
The new Vivo V27 Pro is a big, beautiful phone with a curved display and no bezels. We're also looking at the Magic Blue variant, which features a rear panel that turns a darker shade in daylight. In addition, there is a rectangular bezel at the back with three camera holes and a new, rather bright circular LED flash. The front is fully visible with a hole cut in the center. In addition, the fingerprint sensor is integrated under the screen, which is very accurate and fast.
Curved edges and long bezels give the phone a great look. The phone is lightweight and easy to use for long periods of time. The button position is the same as previous models, to the right of the power button and volume rocker. The top of the phone houses only the second microphone for active noise cancellation, while the SIM tray, USB-C and speaker grill are located at the bottom.

The new Vivo V27 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of 388 ppi. The screen is capable of producing more than 16 million colors, so the colors produced are very bright, vivid and impressive. The curved screen makes watching movies and playing games fun. The phone supports a smart connection mode to adjust the refresh rate based on usage; Analyze the needs, especially for games, and then adjust the refresh rate. The visibility of the screen is strong and can be easily seen in daylight.

The new Vivo V27 Pro is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8200 (4nm) chipset with eight cores, one core running at 3.1GHz Cortex-A78, three cores running at 3.0GHz Cortex-A78, and the remaining four cores with a watch. one. 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 It is one of the fastest processors in Vivo smartphones. As it is, it performs all tasks with ease and without any lag.
The phone comes with HyperEngine 6.0 which comes with Vulkan SDK which helps improve ray tracing, FPS optimization and intelligence in games. Also the GPU remains the same i.e. Mali-G610 MC6. It now has a clock speed of over 950MHz, up from 860Hz previously.
Gaming on the phone is powered by Hyper Engine 6.0. The larger screen helps improve the gaming experience as well as the refresh rate. But what's surprising is that even though the phone is priced around Rs 40,000, the phone doesn't come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, its rival OnePlus 11R is equipped with an SD 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Camera
Vivo has always impressed us with its camera prowess and the latest Vivo V27 Pro has great camera capabilities to deliver clear and stunning images.
The phone's rear configuration packs a 50MP Sony IMX766 Quad-Bayer sensor with f/1.9 aperture, optically stabilized (OIS) lens, and PDAF. There is also a 2x zoom on the main lens. The second sensor is an 8MP OV8D1 sensor with f/2.2 lens aperture and the third sensor is a 2MP OmniVision OV02B1 sensor with f/2.4 lens aperture.
The main sensor takes 12.5MP photos by default. Daytime images are stunning, with perfect color balance and accurate contrast levels. The described angles preserve all aspects of the subject in detail. We love the natural effect of the images. Photos with 2x zoom also show great detail. Compared to standard zoom, images include better rendering, better contrast, dynamic range, reduced noise, and more vivid colors.
8MP ultra-wide images also benefit from good dynamic range and excellent contrast. Colors are just as vivid as on the main camera and noise is kept to a minimum. The 2MP macro camera does close-ups well. We liked the camera's ability to detect the subject in the background when taking portraits. To capture night images, we recommend using Night mode to begin with, as shadows and black points remain stable.
For selfies, there's a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KJN1 sensor with a Tetracell filter and f/2.45 aperture. Selfies capture natural skin tones and the portrait mode used does a good job of separating the subject from the background. The effect of noise on a selfie is never seen. At night, the selfie sensor does a fantastic job of delivering bright images.
drum
The new Vivo V27 Pro packs a 4,600mAh battery, which is relatively smaller than the previous V25 Pro, which was equipped with a 4,800mAh battery.
However, the phone will easily last a full day on a single charge. To charge your phone after endless games or movies, the 66W fast wired charging supports 0 to 100% charging in one hour.
The verdict
The new Vivo V27 Pro is lightweight, has a sleek design with a curved display and comes in daily changing color patterns. PC performance and camera capabilities bring it into the mainstream. However, it lacks a bit in the absence of a Qualcomm processor.
This glitch keeps the OnePlus 11R on hold while buyers finalize their plans before swiping their cards. The OnePlus 11R is powered by a Qualcomm SD 8+ Gen 1 processor and costs a few thousand dollars more than the Vivo V27 Pro at $37,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant.
