These days, we're used to seeing OnePlus phones take on the shape and specs of parent company Oppo's devices. In the case of the upcoming OnePlus Pad, it was more of a "tail wag" situation as we haven't heard anything about the Oppo Pad 2. That wouldn't make sense since the Oppo Pad original was born last February. expect one without the other. By the way, we're now hearing some details about the sequel to round out the new player, and we might even see a new starter while we're at it.

As reported by Digital Chat Station on Weibo (via Slashleaks), this Oppo Pad 2 will have a roughly 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2800 x 200 and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. It should also tank in the power department. Support 9500mAh battery and 67W cable.

There's an accompanying image of the Charge, but instead of the Oppo Pad 2 we see what's said to be a OnePlus Pad – the source says the new Oppo Pad looks just like its sibling. CAD model renders released earlier this week mean there's not much to cheer about.

The original design of the Oppo Pad had a bit of pizzazz, with part of the back surface sporting various types of matte prints. Its screen was also around 11 inches, but with an 8:5 aspect ratio. Chinese buyers also got an "Oppo Pencil" stylus and a magnetic keyboard.

We're hoping OnePlus will consider stopping this and just give us - we're not sure what that means geographically - a plain dress to think about on February 7, when Event Cloud 11 sets up.
