Design and build

Oppo Find X6 Pro and Oppo Find X6 have almost identical design. Both have a large circular camera on the back that occupies the top third of the back of the devices. It's nothing special, but it's an interesting design and a little different from the norm.

The center of the camera is made of a combination of glass and aluminum in the X6 Pro and X6, which offers excellent quality. Meanwhile, the outer frame is designed to mimic classic camera lenses, and the X6 Pro also has an orange dot placed at the bottom of the frame to represent the extension points of classic DSLRs. The X6 Pro and X6 are both Hasselblad brands, so their camera capabilities are a real consideration.

Elsewhere, the X6 Pro and X6 have a curved display with a punch-hole camera centered on top. The X6 Pro features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an IP68 rating, while providing leather upholstery for one of its models, making it a bit more premium than its X6 sibling.

The X6, although thinner and lighter, and although the finish differs from the Pro model, the design is almost identical.

an offer

The Oppo Find X6 Pro and Find X6 both have AMOLED screens, so colors should be bright and vibrant, with the deep blacks typical of OLED screens.

The Find X6 Pro has a slightly larger screen than the Find X6 at 6.82 inches, while the Find X6 is smaller but still tall at 6.74 inches. By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 6.8-inch display, so it falls between these two devices in terms of size.

Besides the size difference, there are some differences in other places. The X6 Pro has a higher resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 510 pixels per inch, while the X6 has a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 450 pixels per inch to followed.

The X6 Pro is also much brighter than the X6, with a typical brightness of 1,500 nits, and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits, outperforming the Apple iPhone 14 Pro, which has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits has. By comparison, the X6 has a peak brightness of 1,450 nits and a typical brightness of 1,100 nits.

Both have a wide P3 color gamut, but the X6 Pro has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an adjustable refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz, while the X6 has a 120Hz refresh rate display, but it's not adjustable.

Hardware and battery

There are also some differences under the hoods of these two models. Oppo Find X6 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with a maximum base frequency of 3.187GHz, while Find X6 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200 mobile platform with a maximum base frequency of 3.05GHz.

We don't think there will be much difference between the two models when it comes to day-to-day use, although you may notice some differences when performing slightly heavier tasks.

Both base models have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and both have 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The X6 Pro also has a mid-range variant with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Neither model supports microSD for storage expansion, though all have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM.

There are also some changes related to the battery. The Find X6 Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery compared to the Find X6's 4,800 mAh battery. It's not really a huge difference, especially considering the Pro model's larger screen, although the Pro model also supports faster loading speeds.

Find X6 Pro offers 100W SuperCharging as well as 50W wireless flash charging, while Find X6 supports 80W fast charging and wireless charging. In fact, we are talking about faster charging of the X6 Pro compared to the X6, but the lack of wireless charging may be more significant depending on your preferences.

Elsewhere on the hardware front, both models support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, and they both have a USB-C headphone jack.

video cameras

While the Find X6 Pro and Find X6 both have a triple rear camera system with a 50MP main telephoto lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope, there are some differences between these offerings when you dig a little deeper. . .

The main camera on the Find X6 Pro features a 1-inch sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and optical image stabilization. The goal here is to provide a large light-catching surface to produce better images in all conditions.

The X6 Pro's ultra-wide camera also has a large sensor. It's a 1/1.56-inch sensor with f/2.2 and a 110-degree field of view, so again for the size, it should be able to take quality photos.

However, Oppo is very excited about its periscope telephoto lens. It also uses a 1/1.56-inch sensor with f/2.6.2μm pixels. Again, this should mean that this zoom is capable even in low light conditions. It's basically a 3x optical lens, but it offers up to 120x digital zoom.

Oppo Find X6 has the same periscope lens as the X6 Pro, but the main camera is slightly different with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and f/1.8 aperture. It still has optical image stabilization on board, but the sensor is slightly smaller than the X6 Pro's. The wide sensor is also a bit different, with an nf/2.0 aperture and a 112-degree field of view.

Up front, the X6 Pro and X6 have a 32MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture and autofocus. In terms of video recording, both devices can record 4K at 60 fps from the rear camera, while the front camera records 1080p at 30 fps.

Oppo Find X6 Pro vs Find X6. Which one do you choose?

The choice between the Oppo Find X6 Pro and the Find X6 will first determine whether you can afford to buy one or the other. For now, they are exclusive to mainland China, and while Oppo usually releases devices in the UK and Europe, there is currently no confirmation if this will be the case for the Find X6 Pro and Find X6.

However, if both devices are released, the Find X6 Pro is probably the device you want, with a more advanced mobile platform, more premium finish and a more capable camera system.

The Find X6 offers excellent value for money, but if the X6 Pro isn't for you, or your budget isn't enough, the Find X6 has a lot to say.
